EXPRESS YOURSELF:
We are going to express ourselves by informing our community about children in
Kroo Bay and raise money for Save the Children.


In the world there are people dying. Every person has the same rights. Some people don’t get what they need to survive. This isn’t fair. I think these people need our help so they can survive and have a better life.

Kroo Bay is a slum community in Africa. In Kroo Bay people don’t have enough medicine. People are dying because there isn’t enough medicine for everybody. People can’t afford to buy medicine and the doctors don’t have enough to give to everybody that needs it.


In Kroo Bay people basically live in sheds. Their houses are made out of scrap metal, clay and old wood. They don’t have proper windows and doors. Their houses have holes in them and they leak when it rains. Sometimes when it rains the houses flood and people have to move out.

In Kroo Bay the people live next to a river. Their drinking water is dirty and not healthy for them. The people wash in muddy and dirty water. The children swim in the river which is filled with rubbish and toilet waste. This is unhealthy and people are getting sick and dying.


We would like to raise some money to help people around the world. I would like to buy mosquito net from the Save the Children Wishlist. People need this because they can get deadly diseases and get very sick from mosquito bites.
